Acclaimed singer, songwriter and storyteller Judith Owen will come to Cabaret at the Wales Millennium Centre on Thursday 4 June 2026, as part of a special run of live dates supporting the release of her forthcoming album, Suit Yourself, due in April 2026.The show will see Owen returning to Wales, her ancestral home, for the first time since 2019, bringing her New Orleans band, The Gentleman Callers, and delivering a dynamic live set that draws on new material alongside fan favourites.Renowned for a stylistic range that spans jazz, blues, pop, rock, classical and musical theatre, Judith Owen has built a reputation as a captivating live performer, combining virtuosic musicianship with sharp wit and masterful storytelling.

Born into a musical Welsh family and raised in London, Owen’s formative years were shaped by classical music, jazz icons and Broadway soundtracks, influences that continue to inform her distinctive sound.Her recent live album, Judith Owen Comes Alive, followed the success of 2022’s Come On & Get It, which amassed millions of streams and over one million YouTube views.

Recorded during a residency at the legendary Marians Jazzroom in Bern, the live release revisits songs inspired by the pioneering, often overlooked women of jazz and blues, a recurring and defining theme in Owen’s work.Judith Owen’s Welsh return at Cabaret at the Wales Millennium Centre promises an intimate, high-energy evening celebrating new music, fearless storytelling and the unapologetic spirit that has defined her career.
