Charity Newcastle 'Highlights' Walking Tour

With thanks to our great friend and supporter, Rob Chapman, Us Active invites you to join us for a fascinating walking tour exploring the rich history of Newcastle upon Tyne.This 90-minute 'HIGHLIGHTS' tour takes you through the heart of the city, uncovering Newcastle's historical and cultural landmarks.

Starting at Grey's Monument, we'll journey from the present day back through Victorian, medieval Norman and Roman times, while discovering how the River Tyne helped transform a small settlement into the vibrant city we know today.If you haven't yet experienced one of Rob's walks, you're in for a treat.

His wealth of knowledge, stories and fascinating facts brings Newcastle's history to life, and by the end of the tour you'll have a whole new appreciation of the city.The tour with Rob will commence at 11am.

Please meet at Central Arcade's Grey Street entrance at 10.45am.The tour will take approximately 90 minutes, so we suggest that you wear suitable walking footwear and dress to suit the forecasted weather conditions (...fingers crossed, it is June!)What Us Active does: This charity event is being held to raise funds for Us Active and support our work with local young people experiencing mental health difficulties.
