The skin and bones in my face and all of the squidgy stuff in between rearrange themselves until Im myself, completely myself, but different.Jules is having trouble fitting in. Fitting in at camp, fitting in with boys, fitting into their own body. Aiden is popular, self-assured, and drawn to Jules for reasons he cant understand. Mud becomes a canvas for Jules and Aiden a place for play, intimacy and mutual understanding. But the pressures of camp and adolescence are coming to a head. Jules struggles with their first forays into gender expression, while Aiden struggles to make sense of early desires. The spectres of bullies and rigidly enforced masculinity hang over both of their heads. Can their friendship survive?Told over the course of four summers, MUD is a play about growing up trans, and the struggle to feel comfortable in your own skin.Part of BokFest 2026Running time: Approximately 65 minutesLATECOMERS MAY NOT BE ADMITTED.
