Jay Kirkland's highly colourful multimedia exhibition transforms the gallery into a place of reflection through an installation featuring photography, salvaged materials and local narratives.
Jay's work honours Dunbar's working harbours, celebrating its community's resilience in the face of sweeping changes while reimagining the traces of everyday lives washed back onto the shore.
Discarded pieces, picked up and presented as precious objects to be reassessed, revalued and treasured. This is a free exhibition supported by East Lothian Council Arts Service, with thanks to North Wall Art+Dunbar Harbour Trust, Edinburgh Shoreline Project, Dunbar Harbour Trust and Dunbar Art Route.
