On The Corner: Open Rehearsal

A chance to look into the process of Seke Chimutengwendes new dance work, set to Miles Davis 1972 album On The Corner.In his homage to Davis riotous, uncategorisable music, Seke cuts up, splices and layers movement to create an album of choreography.

The result is an environment for reflecting on the enduring sound and significance of On The Corner, as well as its echoes of the Black Power, feminist and anti-war movements which persist today as explosively as they did half a century ago.
