Stephen J Snelling is a full-time writer and journalist. He has written extensively on the First and Second World War, with a particular emphasis on the history of the Victoria Cross. His books include several titles in the VCs of the First World War series for The History Press. He has also written widely in specialist magazines, including Britain at War and Flypast. He is a member of the Victoria Cross Society and the Gallipoli Association.
