Ken Ludwigs adaptation of The Three Musketeers is a fast-paced, witty, and high-energy take on Alexandre Dumas timeless classic. Retaining all the romance and daring of the 1625 original, Ludwig infuses the script with his signature comedic timing and physical humor.The journey begins with young dArtagnan, a headstrong provincial youth who heads to Paris with a single goal: joining the elite Kings Musketeers. However, he isn't alone. Joined by Sabine, dArtagnans tomboyish younger sister, who poses as a male servant and who might be just as formidable a swordsman!After a series of comedic misunderstandings, dArtagnan finds himself allied with the legendary trioAthos, Porthos, and Aramis.
Together, they must navigate a web of political intrigue to protect the honor of the Queen and the stability of France.Standing in their way are the most dangerous villains in literature: Cardinal Richelieu, The calculating mastermind seeking to undermine the throne, Milady de Winter: The lethal and mysterious spy with a dark past and Rochefort: The Cardinals ruthless enforcer."All for one, and one for all!"
