This June, Central Scotland School of Jewellery will celebrate its tenth anniversary with a major exhibition showcasing the work of past and present students, tutors and staff.Opening as part of Allt Festival, the exhibition will reflect on a decade of creative learning, traditional craft skills and contemporary jewellery practice in Dunblane.Founded by jeweller and educator Jo Pudelko, CSSJ has grown from a small local jewellery school into a thriving creative community teaching up to 90 students each week. Over the past ten years, many students have gone on to establish jewellery businesses, pursue further education,
exhibit professionally, or develop long-term creative practices of their own.The exhibition will bring together a wide range of work, from first exploratory pieces to refined contemporary jewellery, highlighting the diverse creative journeys that have begun at the School.Jo Pudelko said:
“One of the most rewarding parts of teaching is seeing where people go afterwards. Some students discover a new career, some begin selling their work, and others simply find a creative practice that becomes an important part of their lives. From our beginnings in a community hall
with only a handful of students, to the thriving creative community the school has become today, we are proud to celebrate ten years of jewellery making, learning, and connection.”Alongside celebrating student achievement, the exhibition will also reflect CSSJ’s ongoing commitment to preserving traditional jewellery and metalsmithing skills while encouraging environmentally conscious and sustainable making practices. The exhibition will run throughout June 2026 and will feature work by former and current students alongside pieces by tutors and staff.
