Over ten inspiring days, the festival presents more than 500 events across a wide range of themes including literature, poetry, history, politics, social justice, philosophy, faith, wellbeing, and the arts.The programme combines engaging formats such as author talks, panel discussions, live performances, exhibitions, creative writing workshops, and school activities, alongside film screenings and music.
BLF is committed to accessibility and inclusivity, with highlights including free family fun days, storytelling sessions, and hands-on workshops designed to inspire young readers and families.Celebrating diverse voices and new ideas, BLF creates a unique space for dialogue and discovery, welcoming world-renowned speakers, emerging talent, and audiences from across the UK and beyond.Bradford Literature Festival 2026 will take place Friday 3 July - Sunday 12 July.
