Im very excited about next month's ★★★★★★★★★★ gig, and the range of acts Ill be bringing to the Arts Barge (my favourite venue in the world btw!).Were hosting HATE MOSS as a part of their UK tour.
An Italo Brazilian nomad duo who my friend Louis described as really good (he saw them in Venice, which is like the York of Italy).
They merge inspiration from Italian & Brazilian singer-songwriters with lysergic visions of the rave and trip-hop scenes.Weve also got THE CHILDMINDERS FROM NORTH YORKSHIRE for their first York gig.
Their debut album was described by Hard of Hearing Magazine as a chic yet self-consciously ugly debut in equal parts charming, sadistic and sleazy.
Despite only playing one show, theyve already been booked to support Bathing Suits at The Brixton Windmill and someone's 20th birthday party.Green Man Rising shortlistees KIOSK are joining us all the way from sunny Leeds.
An electro-pop duo who draw influence from their city's bustling DIY scene, they combine post-punk sensibilities with techno infused noise beats.
Ive seen them twice and think theyre ace. :~)And last but not least CREEPY PEOPLE.
The less said about this one the better!24th of June.
