MHANI: Open Decks

In collaboration with MHANI (Mental Health Arts NI), the Black Box presents a night of Open Decks.

Open to all skill levels (as long as it’s not your very first go, and you know your way around the decks), genres and abilities, Our Open Decks night is there to give you the opportunity to perform live in front of an audience, whether that’s to try out new tracks, or get your stuff out there for the first time.The night is designed to be a platform for any up and coming DJ’s and is not a workshop, so whilst there is someone on hand to look after the night, participants will not be instructed on how to use the kit.

Those DJing must also play to the room, i.e. play a suitable style of music based on the audience; Something which is a key skill to have as a DJ.Other than some basic DJing experience, we ask that you bring your own music, as well as some mates while you’re at it!Please note that this event is for over 18’s only
