Guy Lloyd's Radio Blah Blah is a live show with a twist! Incorporating a broadcast studio and a live performance space, Guy is turning radio up to '11', with an exciting and immersive event for the good people of Brighton (Hove too!).Remember The Tube? TFI Friday? This is the radio equivalent.
Live performances from bands, solo artists, comedians, poets, you name it, anything could happen on this show.
Alongside the live performances, there'll be interviews with big names from across the city and beyond, all in front of a live audience.
That live audience being you.
And your friends.
And family.
And possibly, domestic animals (although wed take non-domestic).This month we welcome Gwenifer Raymond, CARNE & Nierra CreekGwenifer Raymond began playing guitar at the age of eight shortly after having been first exposed to punk and grunge.
After years of playing around the Welsh valleys in various punk outfits she began listening more to pre-war blues musicians as well as Appalachian folk players, eventually leading into the guitar players of the American Primitive genre.
In 2018 she signed to the American label 'Tompkins Square' and released her first album 'You Never Were Much of a Dancer' to widespread acclaim.
In 2020 her second album 'Strange Lights Over Garth Mountain' shifted somewhat from straight Americana and started to take more of a spiritual influence from the landscape of her homeland of Wales.
Recalling from her childhood memories of spooky trees, black against the grey sky and breath misting in cold air there is present a style of guitar playing that could be referred to as 'Welsh Primitive'.
Gwenifer's latest long player; 'Last Night I Heard the Dog Star Bark' is released this week!Remember the time where you were sprawled on the couch, the flicker of MTV lighting up the room? The haunting beauty of The Smashing Pumpkins Adore is playing in the background followed by PJ Harveys Is This Desire? with its raw, unfiltered energy.
Grunge is evolving and alternative rock is becoming more experimental, more introspective, yet still deeply intense.
The 90s may have come to an end but the spirit is still burning in 2025.
A new quartet from Brighton emerges, a band forged from the melancholy, chaos and bold creativity of that era. 30 years later, that fearless, raw sound, is back redefined and revived through CARNE.Nierra Creek blend electronic textures with alt-pop energy, layering natural soundscapes and distorted guitars for a truly immersive live performance.
Their debut EP is out now on Folklore Records. This is a night not to be missed.
Previous shows have sold out very quickly, so book your ticket now and come and join us for a night of joy, merriment and great hair.
