Leeds Jazz Fest 2025: Tian Qiyi + Crowdwork

Elusive Jazz presents: Tian Qiyi + CrowdworkThis event forms part of Leeds Jazz Festival 2025.Tian Qiyi are a genre defying sibling duo creating immersive live experiences by blending traditional Chinese and Mongolian instruments with dub, post-punk, and experimental grooves.

They are sons of Zilan Liao and Jah Wobble (post-punk jazz legend), and their performances include live-looped erhu, morin khuur, yangqin, bass, drums, and voice.Crowdwork are Leeds-based trio who have burst onto the scene fusing grindcore blastbeats with the high energy of European Free Jazz, taking inspiration from John Zorn and Napalm Death.

Here, Ben Finlay’s renegade distorted cello meets the barbarian virtuosity of saxophonist Harvey Parkin-Christie and drummer Teruki Chan.(All tickets are subject to a 75p restoration levy, which is included in the ticket price)Presented by Elusive Jazz.This is an 18+ event
