A colourful, hands-on crafting session where families turn recycled milk cartons into cosy bug houses.Get ready for a wonderfully creative experience at this year’s Dragonfly Festival.
In this relaxed, family-friendly session, you’ll join volunteer Kate in the Insect Garden to build your very own bug house using recycled milk cartons.
It’s a brilliant way for families to enjoy nature activities together, learn about the insects that support our wetlands, & take home a handmade habitat to encourage wildlife in your own garden.
This activity blends creativity, sustainability & hands-on fun, perfect for anyone looking to enjoy family events & wildlife experiences at Washington Wetland Centre.Accessibility: The Insect Garden is wheelchair accessible with level pathways.
Volunteers can offer support with materials, instructions & handling tools.
The session is relaxed & drop-in, allowing visitors to participate at their own pace.
See more information about our centres accessibility here. This event is included in the price of admission, no booking required.
