In Galician traditional music, the role of cantareiras—women who sang and played percussion—is essential. In this workshop for fiddle players and singers (all levels), Marina Carpente and Claudia Abril will show how some of the oldest songs and dances are adapted for violin and voice, bringing these traditions into a contemporary performance context.All abilities welcome3.45pm - 5pm
