About
This drawing course will introduce approaches to composition with drawing including various approaches and how to use them.
This drawing course will introduce approaches to composition with drawing including various approaches and how to use them. It is designed to help participants strengthen their understanding of composition and design fundamentals and incorporate that knowledge into their pre-existing drawing approach.
As this is a drawing course, participants will be encouraged to work with materials associated with drawing. However, this definition is broad. Within this framework, students are free to work with the drawing materials of their choice, such as charcoal, pastel, graphite, coloured pencils, fine liners, watercolours, acrylics and so on.
The classes will be rigorous, but the timetable relaxed, with 8 classes spread across January, February, March and April of 2026. Please refer to the timetabled dates for further details. Each class will be held for 3 hours from 1:30 to 4:30pm with an afternoon tea break at approximately 2:45pm. The learning environment is designed to be conversive and supportive, with lots of opportunities to share work and learn from each other.
