Experience the wit, drama, and linguistic brilliance of Shakespeare as The Plays the Thing reading group presents lively extracts from across his plays. Celebrate his inventiveness and playful use of language, enriched with engaging anecdotes and reflections from actors over the centuries, for an evening thats memorable for all audiences. The Play's The Thing was set up in 2018, and meets regularly every month to read plays old and new ranging from Shakespeare to Stoppard. The eight members of the cast took part in the production of Under Milk Wood, performed at the Cookham Festival in 2022.'A licenced bar is available at this event
