A dark comedy about familial love, obligation, and the weight of care, this play follows a brother and sister in their twenties as they attempt to carve out independent lives; new jobs, fledgling relationships, and messy weekends that promise escape. But they are never entirely free. At home, their mothers mental illness keeps everything precarious, pulling them back into a cycle of crisis, vigilance, and reluctant responsibility. Living on a kind of emotional fault line, they balance humour with exhaustion, love with frustration, and hope with the constant fear of what might happen next. While stories about borderline personality disorder often centre on the diagnosed individual, this play shifts the focus to those growing up in its wake. It gives voice to a largely unseen group: the children who become carers, negotiators, and emotional anchors long before they are ready. With sharp wit and honesty, it opens up conversations about generational trauma, resilience, and the complicated bonds that hold families together. At its core, the play explores the hidden labour of care, an experience lived by thousands, yet rarely depicted with such candour, humour and complexity on stage.Running time: Approximately 80 minutesLATECOMERS MAY NOT BE ADMITTED.
