Brighton Rocks International Film Festival returns for its biggest edition yet, celebrating independent cinema across a full week of screenings, events and industry talks.
This year’s festival will showcase over 200 films across three Brighton venues, including around 50 films made locally in Brighton and Sussex.Among the highlights is the stunning feature film Luna, set during the last day on Earth in Brighton, alongside an exciting programme of shorts, documentaries, features and experimental cinema from emerging filmmakers around the world. We are honoured to welcome acclaimed Sussex-based screenwriter Sir David Hare (The Hours) and iconic performer Toyah Willcox (Quadrophenia, Jubilee and many more) as this year’s Guests of Honour.BRIFF is also proud to launch a brand new strand, 45 Revs Per Minute: For Women Rocking 45 and Over - celebrating bold storytelling from women who prove creativity has no age limit. All screenings are followed by industry-led Q&As, giving festival-goers the opportunity to hear directly from filmmakers and creatives about their work.
Our popular industry hub also returns throughout the festival, welcoming filmmakers, audiences and industry professionals to connect and collaborate.Brighton Rocks continues to champion emerging filmmakers from across the globe while building its reputation as a major platform for bold, diverse and boundary-pushing independent cinema.
