“Eternal Iran: With My Roots” 6th Iranian Contemporary Art Biennale

Set against a backdrop of global conflict and political uncertainty, 'WITH MY ROOTS' returns to London for its sixth edition with a timely and powerful presentation of Iranian contemporary art. Taking place at the iconic Mall Galleries in London from 22–30 May 2026, the biennale brings together over 100 emerging and internationally recognised Iranian artists from across the world in a major exhibition exploring identity, memory, migration and cultural continuity.Organised by Capital Art London, this year’s edition features painting, photography, installation, digital art and video works by artists living in Iran as well as members of the Iranian diaspora in 14 countries across Europe, North America and the Middle East.At the heart of the programme is Eternal Iran, a special curatorial section examining the enduring influence of Iranian history, artistic traditions and visual culture across generations and geographies. The exhibition includes works by acclaimed artists including Hojjat Shakiba, Mehdi Fallah, Ahmad Ariamanesh, Mohammad Bozorgi and Esmaeil Rashvand, alongside installation and video works by Homa Bazrafshan and Simin Keramati.A significant section of the biennale focuses on artists currently living and working in Iran, many of whom are responding directly to recent violence and war.
