Studio Sessions 2026: Coastal Journal with Ilse Mikula

Coastal JournalCelebrate the colours and renewal of spring while exploring the rich coastal life of Whitstables shoreline, from delicate flora to diverse fauna.
Over four weeks (week 4 is a double session), youll develop observational drawing and watercolour skills, creating a personal Art Journal inspired by your discoveries. Through studio and beach sketching sessions, youll learn to observe and record the shorelines characterfrom mallow and seaweed to cormorantsbringing marine life vividly into your work.
This course is suitable for beginners as well as those wishing to further develop their practice.
Students are encouraged to bring their own materials: Watercolour paints, brushes, sketching materials and watercolour sketchbook. Details of which will be provided.
