Composer Alexander LEstranges uplifting celebration of King Henry VIIIs famous warship, the Mary Rose, cleverly fuses the music of Tudor times with an array of catchy sea shanties and also includes a sublime setting by LEstrange of Shakespeares Full Fathom Five.
Set for adult and childrens choirs together, the latter will be made up of children from Mayfield and Five Ashes primary schools, and the former - The Sea Shanty Singers - will include pupils from Mayfield School.
The choirs will be accompanied by the Call Me Al jazz quintet featuring folk fiddle and piano accordion, and the composer himself will be conducting.
The performance will last for around 75 minutes with no interval.A 10% discount is offered if tickets are bought for 5 or more separate Festival events in a single booking - just select your seats and then ' Continue shopping '.For those aged 25 and under, tickets are only 5.A pay bar will be open before the concert and during the interval (cards accepted).
