She is also Dunkeld and Birnam's Writer in Residence from our twin community of Asheville, North Carolina.

We are the first community to partner Asheville Sister Cities in this new initiative.

As Elizabeth's residency nears its end, we spend an evening in her company to hear new writing from her special guests.

We delve into Elizabeth’s imagination and travel with her to locations in Bulgaria and the lesser known corners of Eastern Europe that have inspired her storytelling.

Also, Elizabeth offers a preview of her atmospheric new novel Mystery Play, to be published later this year.

This event is a fundraiser for the Birnam Book Festival.
