Campaign Amateur Theatre once again hits the stage of The Maltings in Ely, with their spectacular new production of Evita running from May 7th-10th.After delighting audiences with the festive sparkle of Nativity! and the comedic brilliance of Spamalot, the company has proven its versatility and ambition.

Now, with Evita, they take on one of musical theatre's most iconic and challenging productions.Evita, with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice tells the powerful and moving story of Eva Peron, charting her rise from humble beginnings to becoming the First Lady of Argentina.

Packed with unforgettable songs including, 'Don't Cry for Me Argentina", "Oh, What a Circus" and "Another Suitcase in Another Hall", Lloyd Webber's soaring score, and Rice's powerful, emotional lyrics combine to give a real dramatic punch to this show.Audiences can expect a show filled with lavish costumes, dynamic choreography and wonderful music provided by a live band and a cast of over 30 talented performers.

After more than 50 successful years, the Company will be changing its name to Ely Theatre Company reflecting its focus on the city of Ely and all things theatre.

Same high standards of performance and production, a name for the next 50 years.

Ely Theatre Company's first performance will be Made in Dagenham in November 2026.
