Edgar Macias Band: Tribute to Buena Vista Social Club

UK-based Venezuelan pianist Edgar Macias’s vast and impressive cv includes work with the likes of Wynton Marsalis, David Murray & Scott Hamilton and tonight he will be showcasing his tribute to the iconic Cuban band The Buena Vista Social Club.

The band and their Grammy-winning album became a worldwide phenomenon, selling over eight million records.

Featuring Chris Bowden-sax, Tom Hill-bass/vocals, Miles Levin-drums & Nestor Pedrales-percussion this project is Edgar’s “take” on that album, featuring his arrangements of all the classic tracks.
