This workshop explores the main Galician dance rhythms and their adaptation from traditional bagpipe repertoire to the violin.
Participants will work on essential styles such as muiñeira (nova & vella), jota, pasodoble and rumba, understanding their rhythmic structures and stylistic character.Special attention is given to rhythmic drive, bow distribution, drones and double stops, key elements in achieving an authentic Galician fiddle sound.
Through practical exercises, participants will learn how to recreate percussion patterns and dance energy directly on the instrument.For intermediate level players3.45pm-5pm
