Acoustic Beatles and Sting by The Boyds

Award winning duo The Boyds, whose Edinburgh Festival Fringe shows have sold out for the last three years, return to the Arts Centre stage for a night of acoustic music by two musical legends. The evening is packed with two shows in one, with all the best hits from The Beatles and local lad Sting.

In the first half Gus and Liz perform classic songs such as Strawberry Fields, Let it be, All you need is love and Yesterday, plus the genius of Lennon/McCartney with album tracks such as ‘Blackbird, Eight days a week, Drive my car and She’s leaving home. The Boyds signature sound of tight two part harmonies coupled with percussive guitar make their creative interpretations a joy to listen to in this great concert. A wonderful trip down memory lane.

After the interval Gus returns with all the best songs from The Police and Sting. One guitar and one voice with well crafted interpretations of all the iconic classic tunes with a fresh percussive twist. With a similar vocal timbre and range, Gus delivers with passion and power; songs such as Roxanne, Fields of Gold, Desert Rose, Message in a Bottle, Fragile, Every Breath You Take, Walking on the Moon, Englishman in New York... not to be missed!
