A Christmas Carol:
A rehearsed reading of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens is being staged for three performances only in the Function Room of Nell of Old Drury, 29 Catherine Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2B 5JS, this December.
The classic story features cold-hearted miser and businessman Ebenezer Scrooge who subsequently vows to change his ways. His moving redemption follows after he’s visited by the ghost of his former business partner, Jacob Marley, and three additional spirits: the Ghost of Christmas Past, the Ghost of Christmas Present and the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come.
“I will honour Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year. I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future. The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me. I will not shut out the lessons that they teach” – Ebenezer Scrooge
