Wassail Walk

Wassail is an ancient custom to toast the good health of crops, livestock, beehives and orchards. Here at Wimpole we’re raising a Wassail to celebrate the produce of our Walled Garden and highlight how a good harvest is ensured through year-round hard work.

Discover the traditions of Wassailing and learn about sustainable food and farming as you embark on the trail through the orchards and walled garden. Have a go at some traditional rhymes, create a ‘hullabaloo’ with our noisemakers, and help welcome the birds and pollinators ahead of spring.
