The House Of Bedlam: To Valerie Solanas And Marilyn Monroe

Enhanced by the use of the Kings Place d&b Soundscape system and performed in-the-round, The House of Bedlam present two contrasting works by British composer Larry Goves and American electronic pioneer, Pauline Oliveros.

Crow Rotations, an Ivor Novello 2023 nominated work, is the fruit of long-term collaborators Larry Goves and Matthew Welton, exploring the movements of crows through their connection with air, the earth and people. Alongside this work, we hear Pauline Oliveros’ To Valerie Solanas And Marilyn Monroe in Recognition of Their Desperation written in the aftershock of the political upheavals of 1968.
