Ayr Fort Players proudly bring to the Gaiety this hilarious farce by John Dighton. ‘The Happiest Days of Your Life’ is a fast-moving comedy with an absolutely fantastic cast, guaranteeing you an evening filled with laughter!. During World War II, the all-girls school of St Swithins is evacuated from London after their school was demolished during the Blitz. Due to a bureaucratic blunder, the female students and staff are relocated to Hilary Hall Boys School in Hampshire whose Headmaster, Godfrey Pond, is none too amused. He and St Swithins' Principal, the unswerving Miss Evelyn Whitchurch, eventually agree to keep their mixed-sex school a secret to avoid upsetting the parents. However, a couple of surprise visits soon throws that plan out the window and farce ensues as Pond and Whitchurch get deeper into hot water!
