Suffolk Walking Festival 2022 - 65. Clare and Cavendish Circular Walk

From Clare Castle Country Park we firstly walk about 3 miles east along the valley floor of the River Stour to the village of Pentlow. We cross the Stour into Cavendish, with a short stop on the Green, and then climb to the shoulder on the north side of the valley, returning to Clare along the Stour Valley Path. There are excellent views of the countryside throughout the walk. Distance 7 milesRefreshments available in Cavendish during a short stop. Platform One café available in the Park after the walk. Group can be split into a faster and slower group so walkers can feel comfortable with the pace.
Weekend car parking charges £5 all day.
