Sounding Seas

Really excellent instrumental trio which blends haunting delicate melodies and hypnotic grooves, taking inspiration from contemporary Scandinavian jazz and post-classical sounds.

The trio is built around an unusual father-daughter collaboration between Jemima Evans (piano) and Joe Evans (double bass). Theyre joined by drummer Paul Wigens, formerly of punk-jazz legends Blurt, and half of minimalist Bristol duo Eyebrow. Went down a storm here last year. Very much recommended.
