Sister Act - The Musical

When aspiring nightclub singer Deloris Van Cartier witnesses her low life boyfriend, Curtis) shoot a police informer, she runs to the police station for sanctuary. Knowing that Curtis will kill her, she is placed on the witness protection programme and has to disguise herself as a nun in a convent. Deloris (now under her 'new' name Sister May Clarence) struggles to come to terms with the strict regime and the demands of the head of the convent, Mother Superior. But as Curtis gets nearer to tracking down his ex-girlfriend, Deloris realises (through her work with the Convent Choir) that there is more to life than fortune and fame... and that friendship and faith... and her sisters... will see her through, as part of one 'terrific sister act'!
