Rachel Walker and Aaron Jones

Award winning duo ‘Rachel Walker and Aaron Jones’ were nominated in the ’Band of the Year’ 2023 MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards. They have also been named in The List Magazine ‘Hot 100’ for 2023, recognizing their contribution to Scottish culture. Rachel Walker acclaimed in the Hands Up For Trad 'Women in Culture 2024'. Rachel and Aaron come to Ardross Hall for a night of exceptional traditional and contemporary folk repertoire as two of Scotland's finest celebrated musicians. They have joined forces after years of writing, touring and performing with many of traditional music's best singers and musicians. Rachel has previously recorded her own solo album, Gaol, and has played with much loved folk bands, Cruinn and Skipinnish. Aaron has recorded on multiple projects, including his own band, Old Blind Dogs and previously played at Ardross Hall with 'The Alistair McCulloch Trio'. Rachel and Aaron have celebrated their songwriting partnership by releasing their critically acclaimed debut duo album, 'Despite The Wind And Rain' which premiered at Celtic Connections 2023.
