The hard hitting story of Edith Piaf. Born and raised on the streets of France_ 'the little sparrow’ _became a global sensation and one of the most celebrated singers of the 20th Century. Interspersed with her most memorable songs Pam Gem’s play was a phenomenon when it opened at the RSC in the late 1970’s. It transferred to Broadway and it’s star won the Tony Award for her incredible performance. That star was Jane Lapotaire, a 'native' of Ipswich who attended Northgate School in the town. Piaf’s story is full of dramatic highs and crashing lows, and we are thrilled to bring it to you this November.
(Piaf deals with adult themes and includes some strong language)
