May Day with Jackie Kay

Join Jackie Kay for an evening of revolution and poetry. Jackie Kay will be sharing moments from her new poetry collection May Day. Casting an eye of several decades of political activism Kay brings to life influential figures delving underneath the surfaces of received narratives as well as exploring the impact of Kay’s own grief at the loss of her parents. The evening will be infused with celebration with music from acclaimed Jazz singer Suzanne Bonner and a Q and A with hosted by Dave Moutrey, Director of Culture for Manchester.
