Introducing Machine Embroidery: Bird and Animal Portraits

Our tutor Helen Walsh will help you learn how to use your sewing machine as a drawing machine and create a unique and beautiful piece of bird or animal inspired textile artwork. A range of templates are provided, or you can bring a good quality image of your own (A4-A3 size.) You will learn how to transfer your designs onto fabric, how to applique with fusible web and how to use the sewing machine to create expressive marks and build character in your work.

The course is suitable for beginners, but more experienced stitchers will also be able to pick up lots of hints and tips along the way.
