Building on a foundation of experimentation, the Department of Contemporary Performance Practice evolves in relation to new developments inside and outside the field of performance and aims to be responsive to new understandings of the world in the 21st century. In an epoch of particular anxieties and challenges: the compulsion to perform, coloniality, social justice and our increasingly intimate, complex relation with technology, Into the New is an occasion for transdisciplinary encounters with artists, thinkers, researchers where we will attempt to manifest some of the ideas, stories and concepts in response to some of these questions.
