Habeas Corpus

Written and set in the early 1970s, Habeas Corpus has proved one of Alan Bennett's most popular plays. It's a witty comedy set in Hove and the play revolves around the lives of the sex-obsessed middle-class, with the main action of the play taking place in the household of Dr Arthur Wicksteed - a household which behind closed doors is not quite the respectable establishment it is thought to be.
