With a history stretching back to the First World War and legendary championship success, Grimethorpe Colliery Band can truly be described as a British institution.

Grimethorpe's diverse performances include the FIFA World Cup, BAFTA Awards, BBC Proms, Eurovision and London 2012 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony. With a wealth of national and international TV & radio appearances and professional recordings they have received two gold discs, and a BAFTA nomination for its contributions to the global hit movie “Brassed Off”.
