Folk Concert: Ray Cooper

Ray is a story-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. During his 24 years with Oysterband, they made 19 albums, toured around the world and won three awards from the BBC Folk programme. His frst solo album, Tales of Love War and Death by Hanging came in 2010 and was recorded in his own log cabin studio at home in Sweden. Now with over 40 solo tours completed, Ray has played in Canada, Sweden, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Holland, Finland and the UK, where he toured twice in 2022 and included appearances at the Ely and Shrewsbury Folk Festivals and at Rhythm Tree Festival on the Isle of Wight.
