Eye to Eye: Selected Works from the Lambirth Collection

After graduating from the University of Nottingham in 1980, Andrew Lambirth went on to make a successful career as a writer, critic and curator, specialising in modern British art. He has published monographs on leading artists and for twelve years wrote a weekly column for The Spectator. Having purchased his first work of art whilst still a student, he has gone on - latterly with his wife Sarah - to amass a collection of over 2,000 paintings, drawing and prints. Discriminating and knowledgeable collectors, the Lambirths have formed close personal relationships with many of the artists whose works now adorn the walls of their home. This exhibition provides the opportunity to see over a hundred works selected from this impressive private collection.
