Dundee Art Society Summer Exhibition

Dundee Art Society is proud to announce that their Summer Exhibition is now open. Why not pop into our bright and spacious Gallery and view the work that our members have produced. There is a wide range of subject matter, styles and medium on view. Three awards are on offer; James Morrison Cup for the Best in Show, Celia McCartney Award with the theme “Cycling Memories in Dundee” and The Peter Dolan Prize for Best Pastel in Show. Do you agree with the judges? You will also be able to vote for your favourite painting. No prize involved but this will give one of our members a boost to know that their work is appreciated.

Kate Cunningham is our invited artist and her work will also be featured. Kate graduated with a BA Hons Degree from Duncan of Jordanstone and works as a full time artist and private tutor from her studio in Angus.

Fascinated by nature and her close connection to the Scottish landscape, she creates paintings inspired by the atmospheric and ephemeral qualities of clouds, land and sea.

Most of our members work and that of the invited artist will be available for purchase. This is an ideal way to purchase a piece of original art work.
