DramaSoc Presents: Beautiful Thing

Beautiful Thing is a play that follows bright but bullied Jamie, a teenage boy living on a council estate in London, and the relationship that forms between him and his neighbour, well-mannered and gentle footballer Ste. One night, when things get too much at home, Ste seeks refuge in Jamie’s flat and, sharing a bed, the boys strike up a new relationship. Together they come to terms with their sexuality and explore their feelings alongside their Tina Turner loving and rebellious friend Leah. Alongside, the much-needed emotional support of Jamie’s lioness mother, Sandra and her younger boyfriend Tony.
