Calendar Girls - The Musical

Gary Barlow and Tim Firth’s CALENDAR GIRLS THE MUSICAL, is inspired by the true story of a group of ordinary women living in Yorkshire who achieve something extraordinary. It begins when one of the women’s husbands is diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma, a type of blood cancer. He sadly dies just a few months after he starts treatment. In the months that follow the friends get to work making a ‘nude’ calendar to raise enough to buy a new sofa for the hospital where he was treated. The calendar attracts international press attention and the friends end up raising millions for Bloodwise (formerly Lymphoma & Lymphoma Research).
