Beatles & Stones Night

ANOTHER evening of classic hits from two local bands that claim not to look like their musical heroes but to sound like them!

Abbey Road will recreate some of pop music's finest tracks as they perform songs from the Beatles catalogue across their career span from the early hits like She Loves You and I Want to Hold Your Hand through to Hey Jude and Let it Be.

Stikkyfingers have performed in Cherry Burton many times, and are looking forward to returning once again. They will no doubt include Rolling Stones hits such as Honky Tonk Women, Brown Sugar and Satisfaction in their repertoire, plus a few surprise tracks. Driffield based lead singer Ian Gillon claims that The Greatest Rock n Roll Band in the Wolds dont attempt to look like Jagger and Co- but do sound pretty close!

Cherry Burton Arts organiser Martin Peirson added There is a myth that people either like one group or the other but not both. We have proved with this show that is not the case- it includes some brilliant music from both these great sound-alike acts!
