2024 Brechin Castle Guided Tour

Standing proudly on a massive bluff of rocks overlooking the River Southesk, Brechin Castle sits on the site of much older fortress belonging to the Scottish kings. During your tour, you will take a journey through time learning how the building evolved from a defensive role to its present great house style. Our guides bring their own knowledge and perspective to the experience, thus making each interaction intimate and unique.

After your guided tour, enjoy a stroll through the mature trees and rhodenedrons dotted throughout the grounds. Its paths will take you to the Castle's magestic 13-acre sloping walled garden that is best known for its curving walls and varied plantings.
