David Keenan is an Irish Singer / Songwriter, Poet & Composer.A working-class kid from Dundalk, Keenan has spent his life forging his own artistic path driven to write lyrical songs that play out like stories, soulful outsider anthems that celebrate the sacred and profane and aren’t afraid to cut to the core of things.His live shows are praised for their soaring ability to uplift and connect audiences whether solo with guitar and piano or with a full band he’s one of those rare raw voices to be heard and felt.Focla ar Chanbhás [Words on Canvas] is a new documentary about David’s life that premiered at the Chicago Irish Film Festival earlier this month and made appearances at Craicfest (NYC), LA Irish Film Festival & Solas Nua (DC).
