Wilfie (Wilfie Gilbert) must be one of the most under-exposed, self-effacing legends of the Northern Ireland music scene. Known for his fabulous voice, his acoustic guitar playing and his significant repertoire consisting of his own songs and classic cover songs delivered in his own inimitable way, this is Wilfie's inaugural appearance at The American Bar - and it's long overdue - so this will be a gig not to miss.With the release in March 2019 of ‘Miner’s Gold’, his first full collection of ten outstanding original songs, it was widely acclaimed, and deservedly so.Joining Wilfie is John McCullough, a pianist and keyboard virtuoso hailing from Ireland.
